Story Leak - Samuel & His Six Wives

Once there was a rich lord named Samuel, who had six siblings, each of them cold and bitter towards each other.  The first born was greedy, the second was stubborn, the third was ungrateful, the fourth was deceitful, the fifth was hypocritical, and the sixth was vengeful.

As fortune would have it, they all died from the Black plague.  A disease that’s near to extinct, but is as deadly as it is rare.  So when Samuel came into his lordship, he married six wives, one for each sibling he lost.  Unlike his siblings, the wives looked after one another.

The first was intelligent, the second was kind, the third was gentle, the fourth was nurturing, the fifth was joyful, and the sixth was gorgeously beautiful.  All of them were granted access to his entire estate… but his study.  One day, the sixth wife, only being married for a few months, went into Samuel’s study.  She wanted to learn how to read, so she planned to take one of his books to teach herself.  Just as she taught herself to play the piano.  Not wanting to get caught she grabbed the first book she saw lying open on his desk and left.

Samuel had noticed one of his books was gone, because it had been the very one he was still reading.  He ordered his servants to find the book, thinking he had misplaced it somewhere.  It wasn’t long before they found it in the sixth wife’s chamber.  When he found out, he beat her for being disobedient to him, for going into his study.

The other wives tended to her after he had his way.  Discovering why she had taken the book, the first wife said.  ‘Thou shouldst have told me, for I would have swiped the book for you without his discovery and teach you myself.’  For you see, the first wife had been in his study numerous times and never once had been caught.
